Elders who are leading well should be admired and valued. Double up on the honor shown them; care for them well – especially those constantly and consistently teaching the word and preaching. 1 Timothy 5:17
Through The Shepherds Fund, United alumni/ae or their spouses may qualify for a single assistance grant of up to $10,000 in a calendar year. They are also eligible to receive the grant in subsequent years, especially in the event of chronic, ongoing medical conditions. This grant can be received for up to three years with a lifetime maximum of $25,000.
The following limits apply:
Retired clergy and/or a surviving spouse may apply for one fully vetted and receipted grant per year.
The maximum grant amount is $10,000 per year. Applicants may reapply in subsequent years and can receive grants up to three times across three grant periods.
The total lifetime maximum that any individual may receive from the Shepherds Fund is $25,000.
Anyone who has already received a total of $25,000 in Shepherd’s Fund grants is no longer eligible to reapply.
