DAYTON, Ohio, April 13, 2022 — United Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Thomas Glenn “Jack” Jackson III will join the faculty as Visiting Professor of Evangelism and World Methodism beginning July 1, 2022. Dr. Jackson comes with extensive experience in both the local church and the academy. He served as a pastor in the Florida Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church before beginning his career as a professor. Over the next few months he will complete his work as the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism, Mission and Global Methodism and the co-director of the Center for Global Methodism at Claremont School of Theology.

Dr. Jackson is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv and DMin) and the University of Manchester (PhD). He is the author of Offering Christ: John Wesley’s Evangelistic Vision (Kingswood Press, 2017) and co-editor (with Douglas Powe) of E. Stanley Jones and Sharing the Good News in a Pluralistic Society (Foundery Books, GBHEM, 2018). He is currently working on two other books, Reveal: Christian Faith Sharing in a Multi-Religious World and A Peaceful Witness: How Religious Communities Share their Faith for the Healing of the World.
