Elders who are leading well should be admired and valued. Double up on the honor shown them; care for them well – especially those constantly and consistently teaching the word and preaching. 1 Timothy 5:17
Through The Shepherd’s Fund, a United alumnus/a or spouse may qualify for an assistance grant of up to $10,000 each in a calendar year. They are also eligible to receive the grant in subsequent years, especially in the event of chronic, ongoing medical conditions.
The following limits apply:
Retired clergy, and/or a surviving spouse, may apply for one fully vetted and receipted grant per year.
The maximum number of applications is three years, and the maximum grant is $10,000 per year.
The total lifetime maximum that any individual may receive from the Shepherds Fund is $25,000.
Anyone who has already received a total of $25,000 in Shepherd’s Fund grants is no longer eligible to reapply.
