Your pathway to ministry starts here.

United Theological Seminary and Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU) have partnered together to provide a unique pathway to ministry for those who have completed or are working through a non-degree program. Earn credit towards a Bachelor of Arts (BA) at DWU while you pursue your master’s degree at United. Then expand your church leadership skills with an MBA or Practical Church Leadership Certificate at DWU.

Step 1: Complete your non-degree program at United to earn at least 24 credits toward your BA.

Step 2: Work toward your BA at DWU.

Complete a minimum of 30 credits from DWU’s online offerings.

Earn up to 36 credits for professional experience.

Step 3: Earn your BA at DWU and finish your chosen master’s degree at United.

Complete a minimum of 30 credit hours at United to complete your BA and earn your Master of Arts in Christian Ministries degree (MACM).*

Complete a minimum of 48 credit hours at United to complete your BA and earn your Master of Divinity degree (MDiv).*

*Students who did not complete a non-degree program (COS, CTM, CSL) or a BA degree in religion from DWU must complete an additional 12 credit hours (60 total) at United in the MDiv/MBA program, 24 credit hours (72 total) at United to earn the MDiv degree without an MBA, or 15 credit hours (45 total) at United to earn the MACM degree.

Step 4: Expand your church leadership skills at DWU.

Earn a Practical Church Leadership Certificate with your MACM by completing 21 credit hours at DWU.

Earn an MBA with your MDiv degree by completing 30 credit hours at DWU.
