American Public Policy: Political Involvement and Civil Rights as Interlockers for Social Change

This focus group is designed to explore the interconnection of public policy and modern-day civil rights, drawing heavily on the historic Civil Rights Movement. This focus group will explore the role that public policy plays in giving us the right by law to carry out various faith beliefs, customs, and traditions. Though we are aware that many professing Christians are opposed to political involvement, we are also aware that everything from clean drinking water to highway safety to the freedom of worship are ungirded by public policy.
