Baptist House of Study
The Baptist House of Study of the United Theological Seminary is a rich theological and learning experience for students of diverse backgrounds and with diverse objectives within the Baptist context. The Baptist House of Study offers learning opportunities ranging from the certificate level to the master and doctoral levels of learning. The educational programs build upon the contextual experience and passion of students and enhances it with deep theological education, which prepares each student for effective and passionate service.
The Baptist House of Study is geared toward those who are affiliated with the various Baptist movements, organizations and local congregations. The Baptist House of Study offers an opportunity to grow, thrive and to be equipped to serve within the Baptist context of ministry. The various programs offer a curriculum that strengthens the student’s doctrinal foundation but also expands the paradigm of theology and praxis, which enables participants to serve with passion and a strong doctrinal foundation. Leadership
The Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds is a fourth-generation clergy, who has been raised and nurtured within the highest traditions of the Baptist church. He brings over thirty-five years of ministry experience within the Baptist context. He has served in many denominational leadership roles ranging from the traditional Baptist conventions to charismatic Baptist fellowships. Currently he is an active member of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. and the American Baptist Convention and has served in multiple leadership roles within each convention.
The Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds is a doctoral and masters level graduate of United Theological Seminary. He has also served as a Board of Trustee member at United Theological Seminary and is currently a Faculty Mentor in the Doctor of Ministry program. He is also a graduate of an Executive Studies program at the Harvard University Divinity School in Church-Based Economic and Community Development.
The Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds has served various congregations across the country, which gives him a unique perspective of serving and leading within the Baptist context of ministry. He is excited and feels led to share his experience and passion with the Baptist House of Study of United Theological Seminary.
