United Theological Seminary

Certificate and Non-Degree Programs

Certificate & Non-Degree

Are you called to seminary but unsure of committing to a master’s degree? Are you interested in theological education but don’t have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or previous college credit?

United Theological Seminary offers a variety of non-credit certificate and non-degree programs for those seeking an introduction to theological education or to enhance their ministry opportunities. These flexible and fully online programs allow students to build a basic theological foundation and become equipped to serve in a variety of ministries and contexts in less time than a traditional degree.

Continuing Education Opportunities

As part of our long-term investment in the growth of our students, United offers a variety of learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. These workshops and seminars are offered year-round and fulfill the requirements* for ongoing professional development, allowing ministry professionals to strengthen or update their skills, gain exposure to new trends and ideas in a shifting ministry landscape, and find fellowship and spiritual renewal with fellow learners, professionals, and believers.

Check the events page frequently throughout the year to stay up to date on the latest CEU opportunities.

*Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are offered based on the industry standard. A CEU is defined as 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience offered under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.
