Alumni/ae
Your relationship with United Theological Seminary doesn’t end when you graduate. Every graduate of United or one of our predecessor schools, Bonebrake Theological Seminary or the Evangelical School of Theology, is a lifetime member of our Alumni/ae Association, and each graduate is important to us.
We believe this should be a two-way relationship. On this page are some of the ongoing ways United can support you as well as potential ways you can support United.
Prayer
Everything we do at United is grounded in prayer. We love praying for our alumni/ae. If you have a prayer request, you can send it to prayer@united.edu or call to speak with someone in the Alumni/ae Office at 937.529.2201. We also appreciate your ongoing prayers for the seminary, its current students, and the broader United community.
Encouragement
We hope your education at United was an encouragement to you in your calling. Perhaps someone encouraged you to consider United, which led to your application! The number one source of new students is referrals. Do you have someone you’d like to encourage as a prospective student? You can fill out the online referral form, or contact the admissions office at 937.529.2201
We’d also love to encourage you in your lifelong learning through these alumni benefits:

- 50% discount to audit any graduate level class with approval of instructor

Generosity
Would you like to invest in future leaders of the Church so the next group of students can answer God’s call? You can support United with a gift to the annual fund, a gift to the endowment, or remember United in your estate plan. Make your gift online, or contact the Development Office at 937.529.2201 for additional giving options.
United also wants to support you financially if you or your spouse has a need in retirement. Thanks to a partnership with an organization called The Shepherd’s Fund, United alumni/ae who are retired clergy and their spouses can apply for up to $10,000 per year to assist with a medical expense or other financial hardship. Contact the alumni office for additional information.
Recognition
Every year United’s Alumni Association recognizes outstanding alumni who have made significant contributions to the Kingdom of God through effective ministry in the world. Learn more about the Alumni Awards.
