Visiting Professor of Evangelism and World Methodism

TEACHING AND RESEARCH

Dr. Jackson’s teaching and research centers on the theology and practice of evangelism. He also loves to teach Methodist History and Wesleyan Theology. Dr. Jackson is a frequent guest preacher and regularly offers evangelism seminars for laity at churches.

PROFESSIONAL

Dr. Jackson has extensive experience in both the local church and the academy. He served as a pastor in the Florida Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church before beginning his career as a professor. Prior to teaching at United, he served as the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism, Mission and Global Methodism and the co-director of the Center for Global Methodism at Claremont School of Theology.

PERSONAL

Dr. Jackson has been married to the Rev. Anna Jackson for almost thirty years. They have two adult children. Dr. Jackson also enjoys following business trends, playing golf and snow skiing.
