Intergenerational Mission, Ministry, and Leadership
The Intergenerational Mission, Ministry, and Leadership focus group is a collaborative Doctor of Ministry cohort designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders to cultivate congregations in which multiple generations intentionally participate together in discipleship, formation, mission, and leadership. Grounded in biblical, historical, theological, and sociological inquiry, this focus group engages the growing field of intergenerational ministry as a critical response to generational fragmentation, declining participation among younger generations, and disruptions in faith transmission within congregations. Participants will function as practitioner-scholars, integrating rigorous academic research with contextual ministry innovation. Through seminar dialogue, interdisciplinary study, and applied research, students will develop and test ministry models that strengthen congregational vitality and foster lifelong discipleship across generations. The cohort emphasizes collaborative learning, peer consultation, and the development of doctoral research projects rooted in participants’ ministry contexts.
