Alumni/ae Spotlight: Darin Moore

Dr. W. Darin Moore recently became the 99th bishop of the A.M.E. Zion Church. Dr. Moore is a 2011 graduate of United Theological Seminary and is pastor of Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church in Mount Vernon, NY. He is also a mentor in United’s Doctor of Ministry program, and is currently leading the focus group “Leading Church Renewal” with Dr. Jason Vickers, Associate Professor of Theology and Wesleyan Studies.

Moore was elected at the 49th Quadrennial of the General Conference of the A.M.E. Zion Church which took place July 17-24 at the Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church in Charlotte, NC. Moore was elected along with Dr. Seth O. Lartrey and Dr. Michael A. Frencher, Sr. The new Bishops were consecrated on Tuesday, July 24.
