Deepen your experience of God in and through creation. During this week-long seminar, find new ways to serve God by caring for God’s creation and gain practical ministry ideas for a Christian approach to environmental justice.
During the week:
- • Explore ways in which the Old Testament, New Testament, and Christian Theology and Practice reveal that God is at work to liberate creation and expects us to get on board with this work
- • Develop theologically rich and restorative ministries that remedy environmental injustices in your local settings
- • Visit the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center at The Ohio State University to learn about our changing climate
- • Visit the Charles Madison Nabrit Memorial Garden at The Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Columbus, OH
Together we’ll read excerpts from Planetary Solidarity: Global Women’s Voices and Christian Doctrine and Climate Justice, The Ecology of the New Testament: Creation, Re-Creation, and the Environment, God and World in the Old Testament: A Relational Theology of Creation, and Making Peace with the Land. All are welcome!
